Celtics Squeeze Out A Victory In Game 2

With tonight's victory the Boston Celtics even up the series 1-1 against the Lakers and have three games in a row ahead of them back in Boston. Ray Allen led the way with 32 points most of which came in the first half where he went 7 of 8 shooting and finished with 8 three pointers which is a NBA finals-record. Rondo chipped in with a triple-double scoring 19 points. grabbing 12 rebounds and dishing for 10 assists.
Kobe Bryant ended up getting his 5th foul just a minute into the fourth quarter and could have fouled out with 2 minutes left in the game when he challenged a Ray Allen layup.
The Lakers were able to once again shut-down Kevin Garnett as he still cannot find a way to deal with Gasol and Bynum. Artest kept Pierce in check tonight as he finished with only 10 points. Gasol led the scoring for the Lakers with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Kobe and Bynum also finished with 21 each.
The series is now even at 1-1 and Game 3 will be Tuesday night at 9pm at the TD Garden in Boston.

  1. a much needed win 2nite! but we need to win 2 out of 3 at becuase if we lose 2 of are home games were in big trouble becuase i cant see the c's winning both game 6 & 7 if it comes to that but i think the C's got the Laker where they wanted them!

  2. except for the fact Pierce and Garnett havent shown up, and Gasol and Bynum are dominating. Ray cant shoot like he did tonight every night to bail us out

  3. Garnett is injured and 50% at best. Pierce is being dogged by Artest. Gasol will get his points. Kobe will get his points. Stop Bynum by rebound positioning and get some over the back fouls on him. He can't generate his own offense. Celts don't need home court to win though they do need 2 out of next 3 and I'll take my chances. Odom is the dog of dogs! Glad to see you're blogging again!
